Old prejudices flair up and the dominant houses blame the Unseelie court for this gross excess of glamour. The Unseelie, rightfully, balk at this accusation and demand justice and a fair hearing. Meanwhile, as the courts bicker something has infiltrated the Freehold that threatens the Duchy of Evergreen and it is up to the Motley to uncover this plot, defeat this darkness, and venture into the Dreaming to undo their machinations.
Follows a small-town motley as they investigate the disappearance of a recently-awakened changeling visiting their community of Point Avalon.

This year, the lord of Cresthaven Manor sent word ahead that they will have one more in their number, a recently-awakened sidhe. The meeting goes well until the boy turns up missing. The group is tasked with locating the missing boy, safely retrieving him from the hands of his captors, and making their way back to the safety of their freehold - even if they have to take it back from their enemies.
There's little hope in the dusty winter. The Fae still huddle for warmth & hope around the few fading balefires that remain. Now those balefires are starting to go out & something must be done.

keep them awake to what they truly are in the face of the long Dusty Winter. There are rumors
that balefires have started to gutter and fade, and some believe the final fall of Faerie has started.
Others think it’s far less nefarious than the end times and are convinced they can stop what is
happening. You have heard stories about where the next failing freehold may be, and have
decided to do something about it.

As his position and House are as of yet undetermined, they intend to bring him along to get a taste of courtly politics on a larger scale, and to meet those he is likely to work with once his status and role are determined. A smaller court that borders Point Avalon to the south, Deepwood Glen, is also scheduled to attend the meeting, though communication with them is usually intermittent and they have not recently confirmed their attendance. All seems set for the meeting until the sidhe, while on a tour with the rest of his court's nobles, vanishes without a trace. The local court is asked to help find the missing boy, offering handsome rewards if he is returned safely.
The oracles of the Fae have said the spring which has roared since the beginning of the 1920s is going to come to an abrupt & horrific end, but despite the coming winter the Sidhe stand defiant.
