A legendary text on alchemy and swordsmanship has resurfaced, only to be lost before auction, leaving behind a scene of inexplicable violence. Your patrons have some pull with the authorities, giving you 48 hours to recover the text, solve the mystery of its disappearance, and confront the strange phenomena it attracts.
Developer Malcolm Sheppard runs this introduction to Green Ronin’s Modern AGE roleplaying game. Warflower has an implied setting, but uses the Adventure Game Engine rules (also found in Fantasy AGE and Blue Rose) to fuel contemporary adventures in any early Industrial to near future setting.
Modern AGE can include guns and computers, transoceanic empires and raucous democracies, into the great geopolitical realignments of our time. But it also means urban fantasy, psychic powers, conspiracies and all the speculative and strange sources that fuel modern stories.
