Launch your fleet, and engage the enemy! This will challenge you to build and pilot squads of increasing size.
Description:
The Escalation Tournament follows the standard tournament rules, with the following exceptions. Players will submit 4 squad lists: 1st rnd: 60 pts; 2nd rnd: 90 pts; 3rd rnd: 120 points; 4th rnd: 150 pts. In each round, each squad must contain all ships and upgrade cards from the previous squad. Ships from the previous squad must keep all equipped upgrade cards, and these cards may not be “transferred” to a different ship. However, new upgrade cards may be added to ships from the previous squad. Swiss-paired rounds are as follows: Rnd 1, 45 mins; Rnd 2, 60 mins; Rnd 3, 75 mins; Round 4, 90 mins. The elimination rounds will include the top 4 from the Swiss, each using the 150 pt list. The top 4 round will be 90 minutes, and the final table will be untimed. Prizes will be awarded to the top players. Registration closes at 11:50am on August 16. Round 1 of the Swiss will begin at 12:00pm.
The Top 64 players of the North American Championship Preliminaries (Top 32 of both Flights) will face off in Swiss finals until a champion is determined.
Description:
The Finals will consist of 6 rounds of Swiss pairing, followed by a cut to single-elimination Top 8. The times listed for this event include only the swiss-paired rounds. If you advance to the Top 8, be prepared to play additional rounds after the preliminaries conclude. The first round of the Finals will begin promptly at 10:00am.
