Have you taken a basic ballroom class and want to move on? Even if you just started at GenCon, get ready to level up your dancing! The specific dance will be voted on by the class but will be limited to the three main ballroom smooth dances: waltz, tango, and foxtrot. Dancers do not need to be advanced but should feel comfortable with the basics, able to dance to music with a partner in all three styles and familiar with the following figures: Waltz: box, box with underarm turn, progressive change step. Tango: basic, single corte, progressive rocks. Foxtrot: basic, left rock turn, promenade.
Ballroom dance isn't just fun, it's a great way to keep in shape. Join us for a great low-impact aerobic work out that combines fundamental ballroom dance steps with a great fitness routine.
