During the civil disorder in Sartar following the Dragonrise in Earth Season 1625, the town of Runegate was left to fend for itself. Into this disorder has come Disease.
Description:
The fortified town of Runegate is a little less than a mile away and the walls of the city are plainly visible, as is the smoke, rising from the workshops and forges and hearth fires contained within. The small walled town of Runegate squats atop a low rocky rise on the northern bank of the Swan River. It is the market and religious center of three local clans of the Colymar Tribe. Runegate was the site of a major battle when the Red Emperor invaded Sartar in 1602. The town survived an assault of undead from the Upland Marsh only to be destroyed by the Crimson Bat. It was subsequently rebuilt; as a result, most of the buildings are less than a generation old and most are built out of wood and lime plastered adobe.

Thieves have stolen a large portion of your tribe’s cattle—one of its best sources of wealth. Zarah, your clan-chieftain’s wife, has sent you to recover the cattle and exact retribution.
Description:
You’ve been on the road for a couple of days, riding in pursuit of the thieves that stole a large portion of your tribe’s cattle—one of its greatest sources of wealth. In the course of this heinous crime, they slew two of your kin and wounded another: simple herders, not even tribal warriors. Zarah, your clan-chieftain’s wife set you—her boldest and most able-bodied allies—to follow, recover the cattle, and exact retribution for the insult. One of your injured kinsfolk recognized members of the Greydog clan among the raiders, particularly a man named Danakos, an ambitious and bitter Greydog. The raiders’ path led in the direction of Lismelder tribal land, specifically to the Greydog’s home village.

Kallyr Starbrow shows no recovery after her failed Lightbringers Quest. There are reports of a Lunar army, led by King Pharandos himself, marching to Boldhome.
