We all know about film scripts so terrible nobody wants to touch them. But what about when a script is so terrible it drives people insane? That's when the Department of Special Maintenance steps in.
Description:
Have you ever wondered if the reason so many Hollywood stars go a little nuts is because they encounter sanity-shattering horrors in their line of work? The Department of Special Maintenance doesn't have to wonder, because it's their job to protect Hollywood from the strangeness the city attracts. Made up of various consultants, stuntmen, technicians, and the like, the DSM is given the often-thankless job of protecting Hollywood from the monsters and forces the studios dare not speak of. This time, it's a script the studios dare not speak of; a slasher film so impossibly terrible only the most desperate look twice at it. When they do, the writing's a trap: when actors study the villain role, read the dialogue aloud, and ponder the slasher's motivations, they find themselves becoming the slasher for real. When someone picks up a copy and can't put it back down, it's the DSM's problem.
Hollywood's secret monster hunters have been called in to investigate a new necromancer on the rise. Only they can save one of Hollywood's venerable legends from the clutches of the walking dead!

Department of Homeworld Security: Old-Fashioned Mummy Hunt
Summary:
The government's premiere off-the-books monster-hunting squad has returned, to hunt down an ancient menace that's run off with a valuable artifact.
Description:
The Department of Homeworld Security is an agency made up of intelligence assets deemed unsuitable for mundane operations. The soldier who's seen too much, the lone survivor of a super-soldier program, the burned spy too good to let go, the FBI agent foretold of in prophecy, all of these are drafted into a group that works without recognition or even official acknowledgement. The Department has flirted with outside consultants in the past, and one finally got away. An archaeology professor, possessed by the spirit of an ancient Pharaoh, has run off with a powerful artifact from an earlier case. Can the Department track him and his too-loyal assistant down before he can escape the country?
