James (https://cheapass.com/) started Cheapass Games in 1996 and has won many awards for his creations. Prior to Cheapass Games he worked as a freelancer with Wizards of the Coast and Carbonated Games. He has also created games for other publishers including Rio Grande Games and WizKids. Paizo Publishing created Titanic Games with James and in 2014 James began collaborating with Pat Rothfuss to create an abstract strategy game called Tak. The Kickstarter campaign for Tak was extremely successful, earning well over a million dollars.
